PIONEER 2024, a National Level Technical Event organized by KIT’s College of Engineering and KIT's Innovation and Research Foundation (DST-supported NIDHI i-TBI), was held on the 25th and 26th of February 2024.

The highlight of the event was Prakalp, a competition that offered students and startups the opportunity to innovate, incubate, and kickstart their ventures with support from KIT’s IRF. Participants had the chance to secure seed funding, mentorship, IPR assistance, prototype development support, and market connect opportunities.

The competition was open to Junior College, Diploma, and Undergraduate students, as well as Startups with valid student IDs. Teams were encouraged to present projects such as Innovations, Startups, Working Models, Software Simulations, Posters, Prototypes, or Experimental Setups. Focus sectors included Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, CSE, Biotechnology, AgriTech, HealthTech, AI/ML, IoT, and more.

The event offered cash prizes of ₹6,000, ₹4,000, and ₹3,000 for first, second, and third place in each focus sector.
