Kolhapur Institute of Technology’s College of Engineering (Autonomous), Kolhapur (KITCOEK), which was established in 1983 by a group of visionary industrialists, seasoned professionals, and esteemed educationalists, has emerged as a leading institution in the field of engineering and management education. As the first self-financed engineering college in Maharashtra, KITCOEK is distinguished by the extensive experience and foresight of its founders. The institute has been awarded "A+ Grade Status with a CGPA of 3.33" by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bengaluru, with various departments accredited the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi, a governmental body that recognizes excellence in educational programs, further enhancing its reputation.
KITCOEK has earned Permanent Affiliation from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, and holds Autonomous status, reflecting its commitment to academic excellence. It has a total of 9 Departments including CSE (AIML), CSE, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electrical, Mechanical, Basic Sciences & Humanities, Civil, Civil & Environmental, Biotechnology Engineering.
